On or about 16 July 2021, US Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Section 1135 - Ecosystem Restoration Little Goose Creek, Big Goose Creek, and Goose Creek in Sheridan, Wyoming. The scope of work for this project includes: 1) Remove and dispose of non-native vegetation. Ensure topsoil infested with invasive species is disposed of properly. Bring in topsoil free from invasive vegetation 2) Excavate and stockpile topsoil for reuse 3) Remove and dispose of existing concrete pedestrian trail. Excavate channel bank and re-build concrete pedestrian trail on set-back channel bank 4) Construct in-stream features such as Newbury riffles, Vanes, J-hook vanes, and boulder clusters 5) Seed and install plantings in accordance with the drawings and specs 6) Water, fertilize, and install shrub protection cages as specified 7) Install drop structures and drainage structures. Incidental work will include (but is not limited to) pre- and post-construction surveys; all laboratory and field material testing required herein; development of haul roads and borrow areas; borrow and haul road restoration, and development of a final report and as-built drawings. The contractor shall provide necessary and authorized resources to perform this work to applicable engineering, safety, and construction standards, in the timeliest manner possible, and with optimal cost containment.
