On or about 12 February 2021, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) – Omaha District, intends to issue an invitation for bid (IFB) for Lesterville Bank Stabilization Missouri River Miles 816.5 in Yankton County, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 15 March 2021. This project is for the implementation of bank stabilization measures in Yankton County, SD on Lewis and Clark Lake. The work location is on Lewis and Clark Lake approximately 10 miles upstream from Yankton SD. The work will consist of bank and slope protection of approximately 1,000 linear feet and 2,500 tons of rip rap on Lewis and Clark Lake on the site herein referred to as the “Lesterville" in Yankton County, South Dakota. The work will consist of placing riprap along the shoreline of the reservoir. Access to the site is a challenge due to a lack of well-maintained roads and steep drop offs from the high bank. Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The government will post all solicitation documents to Beta SAM.gov (beta.sam.gov).
