Construct a Large Vehicle Inspection Point (LVIP) entry control facility of reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls, structural steel frame and roof system, fire protection system, and environmental controls. This project will be located on Buckley AFB, CO. The project includes, but not may not be limited to, administrative building to include a visitor waiting area, gatehouse room, equipment room, unisex lavatory, communications room, and mechanical/electrical room constructed with CMU walls. Connected to the administrative building will be a two-bay inspection bay constructed of CMU walls and metal panels, structural steel frame and roof system, and catwalk system. Other features include fire protection system and alarm system, connection to an existing communication backbone and utility infrastructure and UMCS systems. Supporting facilities include all associated utilities, parking areas, walks, storm drainage, detention basins, communications duct banks, passive/active barriers, 40 vehicle two queue lane, and other site improvements. Additional construction to support the facility will include circulation roads, vehicle parking areas, and modifications to the existing fence for in- and out-bound lanes, site improvement, and storm drainage. The LVIP will include inspection pits for a large vehicle (tractor trailers up to 45 tons) and administrative space. The new LVIP must accommodate a new Vehicle Explosion Detection Systems (VEDS) and Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS). The facility will meet base architecture standards and comply with DoD AT requirements and Sustainable Design and Development requirements per Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 04-022-01.
