Project Description: This is a supply/install hybrid project to fabricate, assemble, deliver, install and test approximately twenty-two (22) Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and five (5) Panel Boards (PBs). These are both AC and DC motor controls centers with voltage ranging from 120V to 480V and interrupt ratings ranging from 14,000 Amps to 42,000 Amps. Motor Control Centers are defined as distribution center with associated controls, switches, indicating lights...etc. Many of the MCCs to be replaced under this contract do not contain any or have minimal controls. In these cases, the Contractor may choose to provide a free-standing switchboard in lieu of a MCC as long as all the requirements for voltage, ampacity, interrupt ratings, arc flash reduction requirements, size restrictions, main circuit breakers, branch circuit breakers, reconnection of existing circuits....etc. are met by the substitution of a switchboard for a MCC. The Period of Performance for this effort is for 547 days from date of award. The responses to this notice will be used for planning purposes for upcoming procurements. Therefore, this notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Quotation or Bid; it does not guarantee the future issue of an RFQ/RFP/IFB; nor does it commit the government to contract for any supply or service.
