Solicitation No. W9128F18B0014, Chiller Plant Optimization On or about 2 January 2019, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for Chiller Plant Optimization at Schriever AFB, Colorado. The solicitation will close on or about 1 February 2019. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit for the project will be held. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements. See SITE VISIT in solicitation Section 00 21 00. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See ‘Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) This project consists of modifications to the existing Central chiller plant located in Building 600 at Schriever AFB, CO. The modifications of Building 600 will include to automate the chiller plant, add optimization controls, and revise the cooling tower sump fill controls. The existing Chiller plant is comprised of varying capacities and efficiencies, aged cooling towers, and manual controls, via plant operators, of the entire chilled water system. The system is critical to Base operations and currently provides 42 F chilled water with a minimum of two chillers and associated pumps, CSOC and JNTF secondary pumps, and towers and associated pumps operating at all times to provide a N+1 redundant system operating 24/7 to serve the base requiring 99.9% uptime. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. The above project description is for information only.
