The work required under this specification provides for mechanical mulching/shredding of vegetation and herbicide application via ATV/UTV or aerially by drone at various islands, sandbars, and USACE riverbank lands between River Mile 293 (James W. Trimble Lock and Dam, in western AR) and River Mile 1 (Montgomery Point Lock and Dam, in eastern AR) within the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS) in Arkansas. The purpose of work performed under this contract is to maintain suitable nesting habitat for the Interior Least Tern.
