Mills Lock and Dam, will be advertised as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is set at $39,500,000.00. This solicitation will be issued, utilizing FAR Part 15, as a Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposals will be evaluated via the Best Value- Trade Off method, and will result in a firm fixed-price construction contract. The Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The requirement being procured under this solicitation includes performing: blast cleaning, painting, and anode replacement of Tainter gates. Additional work may include repair/replacement of specific steel components and miscellaneous grinding and welding on steel components. Incidental related work shall also be performed. W9127S20R0011 will be issued on or about Friday, July 31, 2020, via the Government Point of Entry (GPE), Beta.SAM.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be issued via the GPE as well.
