Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing gate and all gate components off of Government property. The contractor shall furnish and install a slide gate, prefab steel and aluminum gate frame, support post shall be a minimum of 4" O.D., chain link fabric (6 gauge 2inch mesh) stretch uniformly and tight. The current gate opening is 20'-0" from post to post the current gate height is 6'-6". The top of the gate shall have an additional 4 strands of barbed wire spaced 4 inches apart and angled 45 degrees outward of the secured area. The gate and opening mechanism will include all requirements for outdoor weather proofing including snow and ice kits. All post and tubing will be capped or welded closed at the ends. The gate will be equipped with sprocket and chain driven or slide roller electric gate opener and the the power supply will be two legs of 208V. The contractor will be responsible for the gate controller mount pad and the gate operator mount pad. The existing mount pads may suffice for the installation of the new gate controller and operator or may need to be removed and replaced by the contractor. The contractor will supply and install a new vehicle exit loop, beneath pavement and provide a new asphalt patch to establish existing grade. The gate will need to be equipped with an infrared pedestrian safety control system. Outside access control will consist of a sealed/waterproof/outdoor approved key code entry system specified for a four digit entry code that will allow each user to have a separate code. The outside access control will also require an infrared camera to visually see the person at the control and/or vehicles entering and leaving the compound. Egress from the office compound area will require the gate to open when vehicle traffic activates the exit loop and an egress button on the unit will be required for pedestrian traffic to exit the compound. Reflective traffic tape will be installed on both entry and exit side of gate. The gate must include a manual override system that will allow the gate to be operated during power outages or emergency situations. The contractor shall submit drawings, cut sheets or manufacture's information for Government approval of the proposed gate prior to beginning of any construction.
