INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Virgin Islands Army National Guard (VIARNG) intends to issue a sole source award to Arian’s Bar and Restaurant for catered meals. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for this service. The Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, when there is a supply or service available only from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or service will satisfy the agency's needs. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis with Arian’s Bar and Restaurant. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This special notice shall not bind the Government and is for information purposes only. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes.
