The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is conducting a Sources Sought for market research to identify capable sources for electrical, life-safety, and fire-protection system modifications in the Powerhouse Gate Repair Pit at The Dalles Lock and Dam. Work will be performed at The Dalles Lock and Dam near The Dalles, Oregon, in Klickitat County, Washington, with contractor access from the Oregon side of the Columbia River via I-84 exit 88. The project includes electrical repairs/modifications, life-safety compliance items, NFPA-rated fire doors, firestopping, fiber-optic heat detection, and integration with the existing fire-detection system to support occupancy classification and OSHA/NFPA compliance. The anticipated construction magnitude is between $1M and $5M, with contract award anticipated in July 2027, construction expected to commence in September 2027, and completion by January 2028. The solicitation is anticipated to require CMMC Level 2 (Self), and responses are sought from large and small businesses, including socioeconomic categories, under NAICS 237990 with a $45M small business size standard.
