This is a 100% small business set-aside firm-fixed-price contract for the refurbishment of one main unit thrust bearing, with optional quantities for three additional bearings. Each bearing has a maximum delivery period of nine months from contract award or option exercise, and options will be exercised sequentially upon successful completion of the prior bearing. Accelerated delivery is encouraged to support the government’s goal of refurbishing multiple bearings annually. The bearings will be shipped from and delivered to The Dalles Lock and Dam in The Dalles, OR, with shipping costs included in the unit price. Offerors must demonstrate specialized experience in babbitt bearing refurbishment and machining, and award will be based on lowest price with an acceptable past experience rating.
