The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District (NWP) has a requirement for the supply and delivery of a new aluminum sled boat with blunt-tipped bow. The boat and all installed accessories shall be delivered to Fern Ridge Lake, West of Eugene, Oregon. The boat specifications will be included with the solicitation, once issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336612; Boat Building with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This procurement is set-aside, 100% for small business concerns. This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposal (RFP), or an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed-price contract is intended to be issued via Contract Opportunities at SAM.gov in approximately 2 days or less. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Quotes will be due approximately 10 days from the date the solicitation is issued, however, the 10-day time frame is estimated and subject to change. The definitive solicitation closing due date and time will be stated in the solicitation once issued and any associated amendments as applicable. For contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). Pursuant to FAR 4.1102, firms must be SAM registered at the time their quotation is submitted. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at SAM.gov.
