THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) SUBPART 5.2 “SYNOPSES OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTIONS” NAICS: 336611 Estimated Delivery: September 2021 Response Deadline: 8/8/2021 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District (NWP) intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with IHC America Inc, to purchase spare parts for Dredge Yaquina. Dredge Yaquina’s home port is in Portland, Oregon. The replacement components are: Valve nose ring - RR - 500 mm, 55528257 Valve retaining flange - RR - 500 mm, 55528327 Valve rubber ring - RR - 500 mm, 55528387 Valve gasket for casing - RR - 500 mm, 55536657 Valve gasket for retaining flange - RR - 500 mm, 55522727 Valve gasket for hydraulic cylinder, 55536722 REASON FOR SOLE SOURCE ACQUISITION: The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is the sole proprietor of all parts related to these valves The use of non-OEM parts may not conform to the testing requirements required by the governing bodies and may cause dredging delays should this equipment fail. The Government intends to advertise a solicitation for this project on or around 08/8/2021. At this time, a solicitation does not exist.
