Technical Specifications Drainage Pumps 8 & 8A Replacement John Day Willow Creek Project 1.0 The contractor shall provide two (2) each pump assemblies as spec’d below to replace existing Drainage pumps 8 & 8A with similar performing equipment at John Day Project. [For technical reference the legacy pump was a Simflo vertical turbine pump model SR10C (s/n 108431-07) with a US Motors 20 Horsepower electric motor (Frame 256TPA, 230/460 Volt, 49.00/24.30 Amps, 1765 RPM)]. 2.0 Two (2) stage water/lube bowl assembly & cone strainer. Bowl assembly to be cast iron A-48CLS 30 with epoxy coating inside as required, and outside. Impeller to be Bronze B-584-836. Shaft bowl, SS A 582 GR 416. Coupling, bowl shaft, steel A-108 GR 1018. Bearing discharge case (lower) Bronze B-505-932. Bearing intermediate bowl neoprene. Bearing intermediate bowl, Bronze B-505-932. Collet, impeller steel A-108 GR 1020. Collar, sand Bronze B-584-836. Impeller wear ring, Bronze B-594-836. Bowl wear ring, cast iron, A-48CLS 30. Upper discharge case bearing, Bronze B-505-932. Screen cone, threaded, galvanized. Discharge centerline must be 7” above Discharge Head mounting base. 5.0 5 each, 6” x 120” water/lube columns assemblies threaded and coupled, includes column, shaft, & spider. Line shaft to be 416 SS. Line shaft coupling, Steel A-108 GR 1018. Drop in bearing retainer, Bronze B-584-836. Line shaft bearing, neoprene. Threaded and coupled pipe column, Steel A 53 B with epoxy coating on inside and outside. Threaded column lock nut cast iron A-48 CLS 30. 6.0 6” x 38.56” water/lube column assembly threaded and coupled. With epoxy coating inside and outside. 7.0 6” x 36.81” water/lube TBE (threaded both ends) top piece. With epoxy coating inside and outside. 8.0 Note: Total inclusive measurement from underside of pump discharge head to bottom of cone strainer not to exceed 60.54’. 9.0 8” flange x flange, cast iron, swing check valve (not to exceed 19.5” in length) w/gaskets and bolt kit. 10.0 The following materials are necessary to assemble adapter from 6” Discharge housing to 8” Swing Check valve: a) 8” x 6” class 150 slip on reducing flange w/gaskets. b) 6” class 150 slip on flange w/gaskets. c) 2 each, 6” x 4” water column for welding to slip flanges. d) Pipe coupling, slip on for 6” pipe. 11.0 OEM maintenance manuals shall be provided for Motor and Pump assembly by contractor. 12.0 Vendor to deliver the finished product to the following address: John Day Dam Project Interstate 84, Exit 109 Rufus, OR 97050 Days and hours warehouse deliveries are accepted. Monday – Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm *Please note that the warehouse will be closed on any Federal Holidays. Pump assemblies delivered will be inspected by John Day Project personnel before acceptance to assure compatibility with existing system.
