This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W9127N21Q0055 for procurement of one Yaquina Engine Parts. Please see the attached product description for design requirements. All parts shall be genuine MTU parts from an authorized dealer. The following solicitation document, incorporated provisions, and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-05 effective 10 March 2021. This solicitation is advertised as a total small business set-aside under NAICS Code 333618-Other Engine Equipment and Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,500 employees. This requirement must adhere to the Non-manufacturer Rule. “Non-manufacturer rule” means that a contractor under a small business set-aside or 8(a) contract shall be a small business under the applicable size standard and shall provide either its own product or that of another domestic small business manufacturing or processing concern (see 13 CFR 121.406). Please ensure that all products being offered in response to this request for quote adhere to the requirements of the non-manufacturer rule as per FAR 19.505(c). All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Lack of SAM registration will make an offeror ineligible for award.
