This is a SOURCES SOUGHT and is for informational/market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID, NOR A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. Contract Information. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division, Portland District (CENWP) anticipates soliciting a Request for Quotation (RFQ) supply procurement for Turbine Pit Sump Pump Reliability at John Day Dam. The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract. Responses to this Sources Sought announcement will be used by the Government to make, if appropriate, a small business set-aside acquisition strategy decision. This Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of the small business members of the industry, to include: Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Businesses to include 8(a) firms, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Economically Disadvantaged Women- Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and/or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small business (SDVOSB) are highly encouraged to respond. If interested, you firm must demonstrate through references, project lists, or reports, they possess experience as it relates to this project. A maximum of two projects will be accepted for review. North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS): NAICS Code 333914 – Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing. The size standard: 750 employees. Project Description. John Day Dam is located on the Columbia River east of Portland about 110 miles. The turbine pit sump pumps function to remove water in the turbine pit area. Existing pumps have safety and reliability issues that require replacing existing pumps as well as installing permanent backup pumps. This is a supply contract to purchase replacement pumps and ancillary equipment to be delivered to John Day Dam. No construction will be required for this procurement, and the installation of the replacement will be completed by USACE operations. A brief overview of requirement includes: Provide new electrically powered 3 hp self-priming centrifugal pump with TEFC 3 phase motor for Turbine Pit Sump Pump #1 and Pump #2 for each turbine pit for a total of 34 Pumps. Pump Brand Name shall be Franklin. Provide new air powered diaphragm pump for each turbine pit for a total of 16 pumps. Provide new controller enclosures in turbine pit with motor starter and relays for a total of 16 enclosures. Provide water level sensors/probes for a total of 32 probes. Provide new conduits, piping, and conductors for each turbine pit. Submission Instructions. A Firm's response to this Sources Sought shall be limited to five (5) pages and shall include the following information: Firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, CAGE and DUNS number, and the Construction Bonding Level per contract. Relevant information on the Firm's experience/Capabilities as it pertains to the proposed work outlined in the Project Description. Provide a maximum of two examples of projects similar in size, scope and complexity with a brief description of each project, customer name, timeliness of performance, contract number, customer satisfaction and the dollar value.
