The contractor shall provide all materials, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to manufacture and deliver complete four (4) each strut arm load pins of designated size and load capacity as defined in this Technical Specification. Background: The navigation lock gate is pushed open and pulled closed thru action of a rotating bull gear on the strut arm. Pin is loaded in shear. Original Pin is forged hi carbon steel. 1.2 Objectives: Manufacture and deliver four each strut arm load pins of designated size and load capacity per scope of work – refer to BDN 3-7/18 The existing end pin detailed in the drawing that connects to the outer end of the strut, strut pin in the upper right corner of the drawing (nom 5.246” OD) will be replaced by a load pin. The connector will run off the arm and inside the Navlock to a junction box or whatever specific connector is needed. Distance in nom 50 feet.
