Brand Name firm-fixed priced contracts shall be awarded for 3 locations by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, 333 SW 1st Avenue, Portland, OR 97204. Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued for purchasing SoftPLC brand name controllers and memory cards and smart softplcs. Purchases are for 3 separate locations, Hills Creek, Cougar Dam, Foster and Green Peter Dams. These items are used to gather data, process and control Main Unit Generators and ancillary equipment in Hydroelectric Powerhouses. Only SoftPLC brand name products are compatible with existing system. The developed software base of Generator Data Acquisition and Control system (GDACS) is customized to SoftPLC controllers. Other vendor's controllers are not compatible and would require extensive reprogramming of GDACS that is not required with SoftPLC controllers. Reference the attached brand name determinations for further information for each location. Reference the "Instructions to Offeror" within the solicitation for submission instructions.
