This is a pre-solicitation notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 "Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions." The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Portland District, intends to issue a solicitation which requires the fabrication of nine main unit coolers and three station coolers for The Dalles Dam, Oregon. An example main unit cooler will be provided for reverse engineering. Drawings for the station service coolers will be provided. Coolers will be inspected by the Government prior to shipping. The Contractor will be responsible for shipping and delivery of the coolers, which will then be installed by the Government. Shop drawings will be required for main unit and station service coolers. This solicitation will be a total small business set-aside under NAICS 332410 - Power Boiler and Heat Exchanger Manufacturing, which has a size standard of 750 employees. The Product Service Code is 4420 - Heat Exchangers and Steam Condensers. The solicitation is anticipated to be advertised on or around 21 June 2019 with a projected award prior to 1 September 2019.
