The set of miter gates contains two leaves. The Demopolis lower miter gates are approximately 60 feet tall and 62 feet wide each weighing approximately 464,000 lbs. per leaf for a total weight of approximately 928,000 lbs. The Contractor will be required to deliver the gates by barge to Demopolis Lock. The Contractor will also be required to take ownership of the old gates and haul them off by barge at the time of delivery of the new gates. The Government will offload the new gates and load the old gates onto the barges provided by the Contractor. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS Code applicable to this requirement is 332312, the size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates who number of employees does not exceed 500. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website: https://piee.eb.mil. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government.
