The upgrades will in... This project consists of upgrading the governor software and a subset of the hardware for seven (7) turbine governor control systems installed at the J. Strom Thurmond Powerhouse. The upgrades will incorporate advancements in control technology, ensure compatibility with the legacy governor equipment design, and replace obsolete communication systems with both fiber optic and Ethernet communications. The work includes PLC Programming changes, PLC Module additions, Communication Upgrades, HMI Upgrades, Commissioning, revised documentation to include updated screens, and training.
