The U. S. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct a virtual Industry Day with vendors who are potentially interested in submitting proposals for the Fabrication and Delivery of Demopolis Lock Lower Miter Gates and Spare Parts, Black Warrior-Tombigbee (BWT) Project Office, Tuscaloosa, AL. The scope of the work will consist of the Contractor furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to fabricate, paint, and deliver the miter gates and parts in accordance with plans and specifications. The set of miter gates contains two leaves. The Demopolis lower miter gates are approximately 60 feet tall and 62 feet wide weighing a total of approximately 475,000 lbs. The Contractor will be required to deliver the gates by barge to Demopolis Lock. The Contractor will also be required to take ownership of the old gates and haul them off by barge at the time of delivery of the new gates. The Government will offload the new gates and load the old gates onto the Contractor’s barges. The virtual Industry Day will include a briefing of the primary details of the anticipated procurement by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and provide an opportunity for Contractor questions and feedback. This Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Neither unsolicited proposals nor other kinds of offers will be considered in response to this Notice.
