The work to be performed under this contract is at various locations in Coastal Alabama and Mississippi, including but not limited to Mobile and Baldwin Counties in Alabama, and Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson counties in Mississippi. Work items that may be accomplished utilizing this contract will be assigned by the Contracting Officer or the Authorized Representative of the Contracting Officer, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. The general work to be required consists of the maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation of various dredge disposal sites. Work will consist of raising dikes around exisiting areas, excavation and haul out of dried dredge material, construction of new areas, leveling and stacking of existing materials, constructing/installing weirs and outfall piping, maintenance of or construction of dewatering ditches associated with the disposal area, and mowing, fertilizing, and cutting back encroaching vegetation and overhaning limbs along the dikes. Other work might include constructing earthen berms in coastal waters, transporting material to coastal waters for marsh construction, re-establishing drain-ways, and small channels by snagging and dredging and transporting dredged material to upland disposal areas.

THIS IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SETASIDE UTILIZING FAR PART 15 SOURCE SELECTION PROCEDURES THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE FOR THIS PROJECT IS 237990. The solicitation will be available for download on 14 December 2021 (Approx.). The estimated cost per project under this contract will be between $500,000 and $2,000,000. The contracting officer is Ms. Sara G. Logsdon. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract pursuant to this solicitation. This contract shall be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) to support U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, for Rental of Construction Equipment with Operators for Disposal Area Maintenance and Associated Activities for the Mobile District, Alabama and Mississippi. Contractors shall complete all work under their contract in accordance with schedules that are established in each Task Order. Work will vary from site to site, or location, and will require extensive knowledge of dredging construction projects. The Contractor will furnish said equipment with operators and all necessary materials, equipment, supplies, labor, transportation, including fuel, power and water and perform all work assigned in accordance with specifications. The contract entails disposal area maintenance, levee construction and maintenance, and maintenance of Federal flood control projects.
