This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to determine the availability of qualified contractors to perform these services to include Small Businesses, Certified 8(a) and HUBZone Concerns, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Women-Owned Businesses (WOSB). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to these requirements is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, Size Standard is $39.5 Million. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The Mobile District Corps of Engineers has a need for a construction contract for the new Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway Management Center (TTWWMC) located in Columbus, Mississippi. The scope of work includes demolition of the existing facility and constructing a new facility. The new TTWMC facility will be a 2-story building located on the existing building foot print. The office complex will support approximately 53 government employees and will continue to serve as the management and maintenance headquarters for the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway. The current planned space for this new office complex will be approximately 1800 sf. The TTWWMC will be a 2-story steel framed enclosed building with non-load bearing CMU infill walls. The design of the main entrance includes an enclosed entry and prefinished aluminum curtainwall & storefront entrance system to enable the entry to be easily identifiable from arrival by vehicle or walking. The entire facility is a controlled access facility with windows to provide natural day-lighting and views to the exterior of the main entry lobby. Construction cost range is between $5-10 million. Offerors are requested to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis with the following information which shall not exceed eight (8) pages: 1. Offeror’s name, addresses, points of contact, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses. 2. Offeror’s capability to perform, to include geographic span, logistic complexity, and project size. 3. Offeror’s business size to include designation as Small Businesses, SBA Certified 8(a) and HUBZone Small Business Concerns, SDVOSB and WOSB. For 8(a) contractors, please include proposed graduation date from the 8(a) Program. 4. Offeror’s single bonding capability. 5. No more than three (3) projects that are at least 50% repair/construction complete within the past five (5) years that demonstrate their capability to perform the type of work described above. Project information is not to exceed 1 page per project and should include title, location, general description of the project, offeror’s role and description of work performed by the offeror, dollar value of the project, and name of the company, agency or Government entity for which the work was performed with contact information (reference name, phone number and email address).
