Pre-solicitation Notice Navarro Mills Lake Security Fencing Purdon, Texas This synopsis is for the security fencing at Navarro Mills Lake. This acquisition is being offered as a 100% Small Business set-aside solicitation and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract Award. Description of Work: Contractor shall construct approximately 925' LF of chain link security fence per Standard Drawing 872-90-10 and provided maps. Chain link mesh portion shall be supported by round corner, end and pull posts 2.875" O.D. and line posts 2.375" with concrete base placement anchorage, 16" min. diameter and 3'6" deep minimum. Concrete shall fill all holes to a 1" dome from post to level of the surrounding natural grade as per STD 872-90-10, dry setting of concrete will not be allowed. Top Rails will be 1.66" od and line post maximum 10 ft apart and equally spaced. Fabric width shall be 9 gauge, 2" mesh, 72" width (top to bottom) and shall be topped with single 45 degree outriggers supporting a three strand barbed wire apron. Fence shall require top tension wire and bottom rail and have all necessary brace rails, tension rods, brace rail clamps, truss rods and bands per fence specification FE6-TR-72 and drawing 872-90-10. All 9 gauge steel tie wires shall be placed 15" O.C. and within 4" from top and bottom of fabric with ends twisted a minimum of three times. All attaching hardware shall be per drawing specifications and face inward to the secure area, with all threaded ends peened to prevent removal. Affected work area has an existing security gate, posts are secured at a 5' depth in concrete and may be used for new fence attachment as is but, shall require all new attaching hardware per specifications. Demolition of approximately 925' of existing fence will be required during and after installation of new fencing, but area shall remain secure at the end of each day. Place of Performance: The work’s located in Navarro County, Texas Period of Performance: 30 Calendar days Pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FARS) 36.204, the magnitude for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicited and procured using FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures. Note: This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and is anticipated to be available on or about March 3, 2023. Please note that the bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Any prospective Offeror must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then register in the Solicitation Module of the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) at https://www.piee.eb.mil to obtain solicitation documents, plans and specifications for this solicitation and submit bids. It is the Offeror's responsibility to check PIEE for any amendments that may be posted to this solicitation. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
