Design-Bid-Build (DBB) for Building Construction for the repair of facilities at Building 126, located at White Sands Missile Range, NM. The objective of this project is to renovate Building 126 at White Sands Missile Range, NM to provide administrative space for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command. Building 126 is a 54,400 gross square foot (GSF), three-story building with basement originally constructed in 1959. Originally built as a barracks, Building 126 is now being used as an administrative building. The broad view of the project is to renovate the building for administrative space in the basement, first, second, and third floors. Specific scope elements include: General space planning for all four levels of the building to accommodate programmed functions. HAZMAT abatement (asbestos, lead, PCBs, and mercury). Replacement of all concrete stairways and ramps, to include handrails, accessing the first floor of the building. Modification of sidewalks to provide handicapped access into the building at all four entrances. Installation of new fire water line to support the new building sprinkler system. Demolition and disposal of all interior equipment, wiring, floor coverings, interior nonstructural walls, doors, windows, ceilings, raised flooring, mechanical, electrical, communications, and plumbing. Replacement of all windows and exterior doors. Installation of new interior walls, doors, ceilings, and flooring. Replacement of all restroom fixtures and finishes. Replacement of mechanical systems to include all primary heating/cooling equipment and controls. Replacement of plumbing systems to include new plumbing fixtures, above-ground domestic hot and cold water, sanitary drain, waste and vent piping, domestic water heating system, and water softener. Installation of new electrical systems to include replacement of lighting fixtures and controls, panel boards, receptacles, wiring, and conduit. Replacement of building telecommunications to include new communications rooms on floors 1, 2, and 3, copper and fiber optic cabling systems, workstation outlets, patch panels, and cable tray. Installation of new fire protection, fire alarm and detection, and mass notification systems. Installation of new elevator serving all four levels of the building. Life Safety Code compliance for entire building. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction project (ii) between $10,000,000. 00 to $25,000,000. 00 The IFB is anticipated to be issued on or about 06 March 2020, and bids due on or about 07 April 2020. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated to be awarded using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria. Anticipated contract award date on or about 30 April 2020.
