The U.S. Army intends to make a sole-source, firm-fixed-price award to Bruker Scientific, LLC for proprietary MALDI Biotyper (MBT) software modules needed to upgrade an existing Government-owned Bruker Biotyper instrument (ECN 223513) so it can perform sub-species microbial speciation of foodborne pathogens. Bruker Scientific, LLC is described as the sole developer and provider of legally and technically compatible software for the existing platform. Performance/delivery location is the Food Analysis and Diagnostic Laboratory (FADL), JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234. This is a one-time supply action with an estimated delivery of approximately 8 weeks after receipt of order and no option years. Responsible sources may submit capability statements for consideration.
