The purpose of this Amendment is to Cancel the Sources Sought Notice (SSN), effectively this day. The Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) has participated in the Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation program since June 2015. The CoC, is a program of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), wherein the ACoS recognizes cancer care programs for their commitment to providing high-quality, and multidisciplinary patient centered care. A survey is performed every three years by a CoC surveyor who is trained to evaluate compliance with the CoC eligibility requirements and standards that are required for accreditation. Through the CoC, BAMC’s cancer program shall have access to reporting tools to aid in benchmarking and improving outcomes at the facility as well as educational and training opportunities, development resources, and advocacy. The program has an annual fee to maintain its accreditation within the program. This requirement is to provide the annual renewal fee, which is needed to maintain BAMC accreditation. The next survey is due in June 2021.
