This acquisition will be competed FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION under NAICS 312113, Ice Manufacturing. The Contractor shall provide all necessary resources, management, personnel, materials, transportation, supplies, and an ice storage trailer and delivery of bagged crushed ice supply for Fort Johnson, LA 71459 to the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO), building 4366, on the installation as described in the Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall be required to furnish ice manufactured by and delivered from establishments currently appearing in the Directory of Sanitary Approved Food Establishments for Armed Forces Procurement (https://sph.health.mil). The plant/facility where the ice is manufactured must be on the approved list and shall be subject to random inspections performed by the Government.

Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Johnson is issuing a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price, Requirements contract. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. This requirement is for a contractor to provide bagged crushed ice, ice storage trailer and ice storage bins for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Fort Johnson, LA. This acquisition will be competed FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION under NAICS 312113, Ice Manufacturing. This Pre-Solicitation Notice is for one (1) base year and four (4) 12-month option periods. The Contractor shall provide delivery of 20-lb bags of crushed ice, one (1) mechanically cooled ice storage trailer to a designated location on the Installation and have ability to provide two (2) mechanically cooled ice storage bins upon Government request. The Contractor shall provide all necessary resources, management, personnel, materials, transportation, supplies, and an ice storage trailer and delivery of bagged crushed ice supply for Fort Johnson, LA 71459 to the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO), building 4366, on the installation as described in the Statement of Work (SOW). The audit must be done on the establishment that is processing the product (packaged ice). Refer to Appendix B, Section 1 – Initial Sanitation Audit Requests for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, The Caribbean, and the Pacific Region for instructions. These completed documents will need to be forwarded to the individuals indicated in this notice posting, in an email with the Subject: Initial Audit Request Documents- (Company name). An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement. The tentative date for the site visit is on or about 27 December 2023. Additional details will be available in the solicitation.
