The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Polk, LA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), “When the supplies or services required by the agency are available only from one responsible source, or for DoD, NASA and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for” based on no other source has been found to meet the Government’s minimum requirements. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Mahaffey Tent and Awning Company Inc 4161 Delp ST Memphis, TN 38118-6927, for a twelve (12) Month Extension from December 21, 2021 to December 20, 2022 for Rotational Life Support Services. The current requirement is to support FORSCOM by providing Rotational Life Support (RLS) Services at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) located at Fort Polk, LA. The contractor shall provide services to include set-up, operation, maintenance, servicing, repair, and tear down of all Contractor and/or Government furnished components at the site (tents); Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); fueling operations of all applicable components with Government furnished JP-8 fuel; collecting, and disposing of all grey water generated by hand wash stations; and providing fresh water services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
