The Army has a requirement to provide Mortuary Services to the U.S.Army Soldiers and certain Department of the Army civilians that have been classified as deceased within CONUS to include Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The deceased remains are transported to a servicing mortuary for embalming, dressing, cosmetic work, and shipment to other mortuary/cemetery for final burial. Shipment is worldwide.
