This service is to support the mission of Fort Irwin and the National Training Center (NTC) to conduct tough, realistic training to prepare Brigade Combat Teams and other units for combat. The NTC will be purchasing Shock Absorbing Concrete (SACON) items that will be utilized for training. SACON is a low-density, fiber-reinforced formed concrete developed to be used in live fire military training facilities, minimizing ricochet hazards during urban combat training. REQUIREMENT. Purchase and delivery of materials to assigned locations inside of the NTC training area. Items will need to be delivered to designated site locations on the dates provided. Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) will be used for the location for drop off, exact location within the provided grid will be determined by a Government Representative at time of delivery. Contractors will need to consider that once leaving Main Post – Fort Irwin to deliver to the training sites that roads are unimproved surfaces and the Government will not be responsible for damages or recovery. Contractors shall be required to provide means of downloading materials at designated sites. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The solicitation will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This is a pre-solicitation notice stating that a solicitation has been scheduled for release via Beta.Sam (https://beta.sam.gov/) soon detailing requirements for the SACON Panels. This information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
