This proposed contract action is for maintenance and repair of the Fort Campbell Railroad system. The following tasks may be required - Selective repalcement of track sections, and/or individual pieces of the track in large or small quantity. Control of the vegetation on the track and within the track right-of-way. Repair of the ballast; maintenance of the track components (i.e., switches, signals, crossings, signage, turnouts, etc.). General track improvements (i.e., surfacing, aligning, tie replacements, etc.), and other items incidental to the work specifically described in the specifications. Maintenance as stated within task order, to include on- and off-post railroad. Services will be required on an as-needed basis. Work requirements will be defined via the issuance of individual Task Orders placed against an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. Inspeciton and repair of Utility Terain Vehicle (UTV) with Hi-Rail system. This proposed action is for a base and four (4) option periods. The anticipated date of solicitation is 13 September 2022. The estimated price range is more than $10 million.
