The Mission and Installation Contracting Command – Fort Liberty (MICC – FL) has a requirement for the XVIII Airborne Corps to procure Historian and Archivist service contract as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The purpose of this contract is to provide Command History documentation support to the XVIII Airborne Corps. Per AR 870-5 paragraph 4-10, the XVIII Airborne Corps maintains an archive of documents in several media pertaining to the XVIII Airborne Corps, its major subordinate activities, its major missions, and Fort Liberty, North Carolina. This archive enables the History Office to perform its other regulatory missions such as: documenting the activities and accomplishment of XVIII Airborne Corps; providing accurate historical research and analysis support to the Commanding General and his staff; and responding to historical inquiries.
