Basis of Award: Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized to the max extent in a streamlined evaluation IAW FAR 12.602 & FAR 13.106?2. The Gov’t will make only one award to the offer that is most advantageous to the Government as follows: Gov’t will first record total evaluated prices (inclusive of all options and CLINS). If the Gov’t has a low degree of technical confidence in any quote, the contractor will not be reviewed for past performance. Past Performance will be reviewed for all remaining quotes, and may be based on Contracting Officer’s prior knowledge/experience; customer past performance inquiry replies; PPIRS/FAPIIS, or any other reasonable basis. Contracting Officer will document the rationale for selection of the successful offeror including discussion of any trade?offs considered. Exception: If the offeror was previously noted as having either unrealistically low or unreasonably high pricing, the Gov’t will communicate with the vendor to ensure there was not a mistake in pricing prior to award. If a mistake is claimed, it will be handled IAW FAR 14.407, and comparative assessment reaccomplished if necessary.
