The City of West Sacramento is located in Yolo County, CA. It is bordered by the Sacramento River to the north and east, and the Yolo Bypass to the w est. The city relies upon a levee system to prevent flooding during high water events. The current project includes two work sites, on two segments of the Yolo Bypass East Levee (YBEL). These levee segments have been identified as deficient due to stability, seepage, and encroachments/penetrations. Project Description: The West Sac Yolo Bypass - South improvement project is in West Sacramento, California and includes the construction of approximately 2,400 feet of a combination stability/seepage berm and approximately 6,150 feet of rock slope protection. The city relies upon a levee system to prevent flooding during high water events. The current project includes two work sites, on two segments of the Yolo Bypass East Levee (YBEL). These levee segments have been identified as deficient due to stability, seepage, and encroachments/penetrations. Work will include construction of a combination stability/seepage berm, levee repairs of the landside embankment and construction of a subgrade drainage system and the existing maintenance road will be reconstructed atop this newly constructed berm. In accordance with FAR 36.204(g), the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). The size standard is $39,500,000.00. Product Service Code is Y1LC (Construction of Tunnels and Subsurface Structures). The solicitation will proceed as a full and open competition and is estimated to be issued on or about the week of 21 February 2023, with proposals due tentatively on 24 March 2023.
