Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District is issuing this announcement for the disassembly and disposal of old SPK 14th Floor furniture, followed by assembly and installation of new furniture on the same floor. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Miles Treaster and Associates under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source. A sole source justification for the removal and disposal of old furniture, and installation of new Herman Miller furniture has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms must be recognized by the brand as qualified to install this furniture without voiding the product warranty. Firms that can provide these supplies or services above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 5 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should be emailed to the Government point of contact for this acquisition. Responses should include the firm's Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Firms should identify business size (small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS Code 238390, Other Building Finishing Contractors, which is $16.5 million. The PSC for this action is N071, Installation of Equipment- Furniture. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation.
