This requirement is for the design and construction of natural gas line and fuel swap. This is intended to expand the natural gas utility infrastructure and to reduce the use of fuel oil and propane fuel sources at Tooele Army Depot. The project scope includes construction of approximately 12 miles of new natural gas line, upgrade existing fuel oil and propane heating systems to heat pumps, modification or replacement of mechanical systems including HVAC controls, and building envelope improvements in 26 existing buildings to include insulation, day lighting, windows and door repair and replacement, site preparation, main and lateral gas lines and appropriate metering. Also included is Wide Area Visualization Environment (WAVE) and Wave GIS mapping. In accordance with FARS 36.204(g) the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 237120 (Oil and Gas Pipeline and Related Structures Construction). The size standard $39.5 million. The RFP will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as www.sam.gov and will establish a firm proposal due date/time. If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation.
