Project Description: The Natomas... The Government anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for the Natomas Reach B I-5 Window. Project Description: The Natomas Reach B (I-5 Window) is located on the east bank of the Sacramento River where the I-5 bridges cross just west of the Sacramento International Airport in Sacramento County. Previous levee improvements were completed in 2011 on either side of the I-5 bridge crossings, leaving the "window" in this contract. The window is approximately 0.53 miles in length and extends from just north of the intersection of Garden Highway and North Bayou Road down to one-half mile south of this intersection. This project includes degrade of the existing Garden Highway levee and rebuilding it with impervious levee material, along with raising it to remediate a 2-foot height deficiency. The project also includes installation of seepage berms and raising the North Bayou Road intersection and approach. It also includes improvements to existing parking lots on both sides of the levee. In accordance with FAR 36.204(g) the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). The size standard is $39.5M. Product Service Code is Y1PC Construction of Unimproved Real Property (Land). The solicitation will proceed as a 100% Small Business Set-aside and is estimated to be issued on or about 9 Mar 2021 with bids due tentatively on 8 Apr 2021. The IFB will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as beta.sam.gov and will establish a firm bid due date/time. If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation.
