JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has an upcoming acquisition to establish a contract to implement reconstruction in order to rehabilitate levees to pre-flood conditions at ten (10) sites along the San Joaquin River. The specific sites are Sites 1151-15 and 1151-16 are located on the right bank of the San Joaquin River approximately 4 miles southwest of the city of Manteca, California. Site 1151-17 is located on the right bank of the San Joaquin River approximately 4 miles southwest of the city of Manteca, California. Sites 1151-22 and 1151-23 are located on the right bank of the San Joaquin River approximately 6.5 miles southwest of the town of Ripon, California. BACKGROUND: Due to excessive rain events during the winter of 2016/2017 Sacramento area levees experienced varying forms of erosion. The construction work is remedial in nature, which involves rehabilitating existing levees that experienced flood damage. The levee repairs necessary require clearing, stripping and grubbing of vegetation, dewatering operations, the removal of eroded or slumped soil, the placement and compaction of levee fill, the placement of rock protection, the placement of Coir fabric, the placement of top soil, the placement and compaction of aggregate base course, and hydroseeding. DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND SERVICES: The contractor shall review and analyze this scope and associated drawings for coordination of materials, and the necessary labor and equipment in order to provide an estimate for the activities described. Acquisition Information: This acquisition is proceeding as a small business set-aside. Estimated Cost Range is between ($1,000,000 $5,000,000). FAR 36.204(f) Period of Performance (POP): Channel work to be started 7/23/2019. Three phases from time of award, Phase 1 - submittals: 53 days; Phase 2 - Construction: 100 days; Phase 3: DeMOB, As-Builts, Resolution to MODs - 90 days. This Procurement will be conducted under PSC CODE: Y1PZ, NAICS Code: 237990. The size standard for this code is $36,500,000. All questions should be directed to the Contract Specialist, Deanna C.
