TULE RIVER / SUCCESS LAKE SPILLWAY ENLARGEMENT PHASE 2 ****Amendnent 0001 extends proposal due date, updates site visit date, and confirms full and open competition.**** The Government anticipates issuing a Invitation for bid (IFB) with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for W9123821B0010 / Tule River Phase 2 Project Description: The project generally consists of constructing a 10 foot high 350 foot long curved reinforced concrete ogee weir across Success lake spillway and constructing side walls and downstream Apron. The work will include widening of the spillway, excavating the Ogee weir and Apron foundation and weir slope embedment using blasting and/or excavation, and installation of rock anchors. Additional project improvements include construction of trench drains at the main dam left abutments, flood proofing of existing recreation facilities, and raising and relocation of existing wells and storage tanks. Rock slope protection will be added to Frazier Dike and other areas around the lake. In accordance with DFARS 236.204(ii) the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $25,000,000 to $100,000,000. This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). Product Service Code is Y1LC (Construction of Tunnels and Subsurface Structures). The solicitation will proceed as a Full and Open and is estimated to be issued on or about 03 Jun 2021 with bids due tentatively on 08 Jul 2021. The IFB will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as https://sam.gov and will establish a firm bid due date/time. All attendees to observe CDC COVID requirements including wearing masks if required by CDC or local government. Please try to carpool to limit the number of vehicles during the visit. Vehicles with high ground clearance are recommended. Location 2 and 3 as listed above are currently a construction zone and have no public access the only time prospective bidder can visit that area is during this site visit. Please bring proper safety gear including hard hats, vests, ear & eye protection and steel toe boots. USACE staff will not be answering questions during the visit.
