This project is being performed as a requirement of a Biological Opinion issued by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is proposing to continue a gravel augmentation project which involves placement of a heterogeneous mix of gravel and cobble into the lower Yuba River channel below Englebright Dam. The Contractor shall furnish labor, material and equipment necessary to deliver and place approximately 5,000 to 15,000 short tons of gravel and cobble directly into the Yuba River channel immediately below the PG&E Powerhouse (Narrows I), located approximately 0.25 mile below the Englebright Dam. The placement area is shown on the GAIP Placement Map in Attachment #6, and may be in any of the areas, A, B, or C.
