Please review Section 00 21 16 of this solicitation for instructions to submit Bidder Inquiries. ***Revised 12 December 2018: The Government will host a second Pre-Proposal Site Visit on 19 December 2018 at 10:30am Pacific. Attendees at this site visit will be shown the same areas as the first site visit. Attendees will not be afforded the opportunity to view the pipe basement as part of this site visit. Attendees shall meet at the temporary modular located on the Southwest corner of the two-story parking structure across Kirman Avenue from the main hospital entrance. Attendees shall enter the building through the East-side door and proceed to the conference room. The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting proposals for an upcoming project for the Department of Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Health Care System Building 1 Seismic Upgrade & Clinical Expansion, Reno, CA. The acquisition will proceed using a best-value tradeoff source selection scheme and will result in a design-bid-build, firm-fixed-price construction contract with a period of performance of 1140 calendar days after the receipt of Notice to Proceed. This project includes the full renovation of approximately 98,400 gross square fee (GSF) of Building 1, by seismically correcting the building, correcting all facility conditions assessment deficiencies and demolishing a portion of the building. In addition, the project will construct an approximate 166,000 GSF clinical expansion to correct space deficiencies. Approximately 50,000 GSF of the Building 1 will be demolished to ensure enough space will be available for the expansion. Upon completion, Building 1 will be transformed into a modern structure supporting healthcare form veterans. The NAICS code associated with this project is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The size standard is $36.5 million. In accordance with DFARS 236.204(iii), the estimated value of the resulting construction contract is expected to be between $100 million and $250 million. BONDS: All offerors will be required to submit a bid bond for 20% of their total proposed price or $3,000,000, whichever is less. The successful offeror shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract award price.
