THIS NOTICE IS THE PRE-SOLICATION NOTICE TO SOURCES SOUGHT, W91238-19-Q-0021, POSTED ON 22 FEBRUARY 2019. The proposed contract action will be conducted using NAICS code 332312, Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 people and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 3695, Miscellaneous Special Industry Machinery. A Small Business Set-aside procurement has been determined. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price contract to fabricate and install Thrust Washer Gap Covers (TWGCs) to all Tainter Gate (TG) trunnion assemblies at the Joint Federal Project (JFP) Folsom Dam Auxiliary Spillway, Folsom CA. TWGCs are needed to keep debris out of the trunnion assemblies. There are 2 hubs at each of the 6 tainter gates, and each hub has 2 thrush washer gaps. Therefore, a total of 24 thrust washer gap covers will be fabricated and installed to prevent debris from entering the thrust washer gap and accumulating on the trunnion pin surface or migrating between the sleeves/bushing and pin. FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SCOPE OF WORK. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be posted no earlier than 8 April 2019 using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The RFQ will issued on the Government Point of Entry known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov). The estimated due date for quote will be on or about 7 May 2019. Once issued, the RFQ will identify a firm due date/time for the quotes. BE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELLED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS.
