PL84-99 Colusa Basin Site 0561-41 Levee Repair Project The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is inviting bids for an upcoming project for the PL84-99 Colusa Basin Site 0561-41 Levee Repair Project, Knights Landing, CA. The acquisition will proceed using an invitation for bids source selection scheme and will result in a design-bid-build, firm-fixed-price construction contract with a period of performance of 338 calendar days after the receipt of Notice to Proceed. This project consists of levee repair near Knights Landing (Yolo County) CA. Due to excessive rain events during the winter of 2016/2017 Sacramento area levees experienced varying forms of erosion. The construction work for this site is remedial in nature, which involves rehabilitating 750 ft. of the existing levee that experienced flood damage. In order to construct the adjacent levee, dewatering of the ditch at the landside levee toe may be required. The entire site will initially be cleared, grubbed and stripped of organics, vegetation and all loose, wet or deleterious material. The landside slope will be excavated to facilitate placement of fill on the landside slope and a landside berm. A keyway will be excavated below the location of the new levee toe. Upon completion, the slope will be seeded and the levee crown and toe road will be surfaced with aggregate base. The work will require reconstruction in order to rehabilitate the levee to pre-flood conditions. The NAICS code associated with this project is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. In accordance with the FAR 36.204 (f), the magnitude disclosure of this construction project is between $1M and $5M. A Pre-Bid Site Visit has been scheduled for 9 July at 10:00AM PST.
