APTIM (previously known as CB&I, Shaw and IT Corporation), has exclusively conducted this monitoring work for the past twenty-seven (27) years and has collected a vast library of information. They are familiar with the location, terrain and access issues required to conduct field work over an approximately 500-acre site, to sample the groundwater monitoring wells. Additionally, the contractor is familiar with previous hydrology conditions and specific issues for sample collection for comparability of data over many years investigation and are most capable of conducting the required trend analysis that is required for this project. If another contractor besides APTIM completed the annual compliance monitoring for WVOW, is estimated that duplicated cost would occur.
