The supply described herein is for a vendor to provide all labor, material and equipment necessary for loading four (4) Culvert Valve Bulkheads, transporting them to offsite facility, inspecting them, rehabilitating them, and then transporting them back to Willow Locks and Dam in Newport, OH. Each Culvert Valve Bulkhead weighs approximately 15,000 lbs. Non destructive weld testing (NDT) shall be performed in accordance with the latest provisions of AWS D1.5 and the contract specifications. The rehabilitation work included in this contract is for four (4) Culvert Valve Bulkheads (with components already disassembled). Rehabilitation work shall be performed at the contractor’s offsite facility. Loading and pick up shall be coordinated with Willow Island’s staff so that access to facility is interrupted as minimally as possible. Pickup of the four (4) Culvert Valve Bulkheads must be completed in a single mobilization. A crane, licensed crane operator and rigging person shall be provided by contractor when picking up the Bulkheads. Delivery and offloading upon completion of rehabilitation work shall be the contractor’s responsibility and shall be coordinated with Willow Island’s staff so that access to the facility is interrupted as minimally as possible. All units shall be delivered back to their original pickup location on the landwall. Delivery of the four (4) Culvert Valve Bulkheads must be completed in a single mobilization.
