The US Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District intends to procure a construction contract for the East Lynn Access Bridge Bearing Replacement, East Lynn Lake, East Lynn, West Virginia The award of one (1) Firm Fixed price Construction Contract is anticipated. This contract consists of removing and replacing the bridge girder bearings of the East Lynn Lake project Kiah Creek bridge in Wayne County, WV. All portions of the existing steel fixed and expansion bearings and anchor bolts shall be removed. Elastomeric bearings shall be installed. The bridge ends must be temporarily supported and protected during the bearing replacement. The bridge consists of four steel girders, simply supported in a single span of approximately 78 feet. The approximate total unloaded weight of the bridge is 225 ton. An organized site visit will be conducted on August 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at East Lynn Lake, 683 Overlook Trail, East Lynn, WV 25512, interested bidders are highly encouraged to attend this site visit. See solicitation for full details. The contract will be awarded to the lowest priced bidder who is found to be responsive and responsible. This procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237310, which has a size standard of $39.5 million average annual receipts. Solicitation documents will be available on or about July 27, 2022 and can be downloaded at sam.gov/. ALL SUBMISSIONS TO THIS BID ANNOUNCEMENT SHALL BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY THROUGH DOD SAFE. No paper copies, CD-ROMs or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Electronic Bid Submission is required through the Army’s Electronic File Sharing Service, DOD SAFE (https://safe.apps.mil). There are no user accounts for SAFE. Authentication is handled via email. Anyone has access to DOD SAFE, and the application is available for use by anyone.
