The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District plans to issue an Invitation for Bid for maintenance dredging of the Norfolk Harbor Inner Channel to Newport News in Hampton Roads, Virginia, as an unrestricted, firm-fixed-price contract. The work includes mechanical dredging of about 550,000 cubic yards from Sewells Point to Lamberts Bend and Entrance Reach to -56 feet MLLW, plus optional dredging of about 150,000 cubic yards from the Channel to Newport News and 45,000 cubic yards from Naval Station Fairway, with disposal at the Norfolk Ocean Disposal Site or Craney Island. The estimated construction magnitude is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The solicitation is anticipated to be posted on PIEE on or about the end of October 2026, and construction completion is expected approximately 175 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
