Rudee Inlet Maintenance Dredging
Maintenance dredging is required for the Rudee Inlet Federal Navigation Channel and associated areas in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The work involves removing up to approximately 220,000 cubic yards of sandy material from several channel and jetty areas, then hydraulically pumping it to approved beach placement sites at Resort Beach and, if optioned, Croatan Beach. The project operates in an open-ocean environment with heavy recreational vessel traffic and public beach use. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, supervision, safety, environmental protection, beach grading, cleanup, and incidental work per contract specs. Lake Wesley is not available for staging or safe harbor.
